Why is my username or password invalid?

It is possible that your password needs to be reset. Reset your password and try again.

If you still see this message (or just recently changed your password), this also happens when your account has yet to be created in the system. Accounts are created for students only when their instructor creates their course in Talon. Accounts are created for instructors when they first request a course in Talon.

If you are only enrolled in a few courses and none of them are using Talon to deliver course materials or keep course records, then your account may not exist. When you try to login with a non-existent account the error reports an invalid username or password.

Steps to take if you are certain you should have an account:
  1. Verify with your instructor that they are using Talon
  2. Verify that you are still enrolled in their course
  3. Contact support (1-877-478-7074)
